The Paleo Diet is a diet based on foods that our ancestors most likely ate. This includes meat, nuts and berries and does not includes processed foods or foods like dairy.
The Paleolithic era lasted approximately 2.5 million years ending about 10,000 years ago. Humans evolved to become best adapted to foods that were available during this period. The human metabolism has not been able to adapt to modern, processed and manufactured foods. Many of the diet and health issues present within our society today can be reduced by adopting a Paleo Diet.
